Prior to joining Colorado Capital Bank, he was Senior Managing Director of RSM McGladrey specializing in strategic planning, management, mergers and acquisitions, technology planning, and asset/liability management.

Mr. Davis began his banking career in 1973 at National Bank of Tulsa. In addition, he spent three years in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Captain, Military Intelligence, Special Forces (Green Berets).
